Tamiya 1/72 Mitsubishi A6M3 3a Zero

Completed Ban Dai 1/72 Resistance X-Wing
That’s it done. Base had a bit of grime and spills added. Time to finish of my cavalry figures before the next GB. Just noticed I need to sand off a little mark on the base- Mickc1440

Zenithal highlighting
One for those in the know. This is another Star Wars Legion model I’ve aquired to add to my growing gang. I undercoated it in black then a grey from sort of 45 degrees then white from above. I know the console gamers on here will recognise this, after finishing the big 40K marine and liking the Ban Dai method of building I saw this and thought why not -
Ban Dai 1/72 Resistance X-Wing fighter
Finally the weather improves enough for some spraying. The X Wing now has its top coat, I’ll leave it for a day before masking up for the grey/blue panels. I have also tried a new (to me) method of chipping using masking fluid and I don’t think it looks bad.- Mickc1440

Contrast Paint
End of first experiment with contrast paint and very impressed. I’ve quite a few more to try now but this battle droid is done and to a reasonable tabletop standard. I can certainly see the advantages of using it if you have a lot of troops to do leaving more time for character figures, not that...- Mickc1440

I've been collecting single star wars miniatures to add to my fill ins between builds. A recent purchase was a battle droid (28mm) figure. I saw a vid on You Tube where a guy was painting an army of these up and was using a quick method to get them done as they have a very simple paint scheme...- Mickc1440
