Well, apologies for having gone awol for so long. Anyway, I have been doing some work on the Renault and that roll cage was the first thing to tackle. I set to with some brass rod... ok, various things have kept me from posting for a while (mainly in my own head, I think), but now hopefully I can get back to being a bit more active once I become a bit more conversant with the new format. John has kindly amended my forum name with the changeover to the new platform - my old... -

Managed to make a bit of a start.... Rear body panel has been glued in place and reinforced with some sprue goo... These horrible ejector towers have been removed from the inner wheel arches... Much nicer... And these plus a couple of other parts have been fixed to the floorpan...- Nicko

What's on the Bench 2024
I've been tinkering with some spoked wheels. This is off an Italeri (Protar rebox) 1/9 scale Yamaha - first attempt and quite pleased with how its turned out. If I can get a decent result with the rear wheel then I'll have to think about building the kit! I've spent several weeks on and off just...- Nicko

Superglue question
I've tried a couple of the modelling branded types, and while I found they worked well, with my build rate I threw most of it away as it went hard..... For the last few years I've been using this: One comes with every set of Oxford Hot Grips and its really not what you want for gluing...- Nicko

Ordered this for my Grandson (7). Turned up just in time! He's got a few of the smaller Quick build kits under his belt now so this big one will be a good measure of how close he is to tackling one that needs gluing together. Nick -

Managed to get the upper surfaces painted. Went with Tamiya colours NATO Green and NATO Black as they were to hand. Pondering on a clear coat of some kind, but there are not too many decals to go on this one. Thanks for looking in.. Nick.- Nicko
