Decided after falling out with the Dragon 252 would go back to Tamiya for my next build. Looked on Scalemate and according to them the tamiya marder is from 1971, with only box art updates. ??? Nice kit, rubber tracks, oh the joy of heating a screw driver and 5 seconds later 'completed tracks'...- andy55

Ryefield 5100 Mid production Tiger. At last got it finished, taken about 5 weeks. Found the parts fit to be pretty good though would do things a little different if attempting a similar model. I hope you don't mind Scratchbuilder if I post this. Without your original post about the bucket would not of tried this. So spent the afternoon in the garage after going to B&M and B&Q and built a booth. Only tried it with water as I'm waiting for the foam to arrive. Seems to work. Not the most...- andy55

Halfords Primer
Well the weather has permitted me to get in the garage today to try the Halfords. Also decanted some (that was messy) as will brush paint smaller parts. Don't think it's done too bad a job for first time. Will need to get some thinners before using in the AB as white spirit was struggling to...- andy55

Halfords Primer
Just trying to get a couple of hours in before the kids and grandkids arrive. Have tried acrylic primer and didn't like it. So going to get some Halfords as seems a lot use it. However, is it the enamel primer or cellulose. If cellulose does acrylic paint take OK on it. Happy Christmas to...- andy55

Painting small parts
Thanks for that. Managed to find a fine brush, don't think they've turned out too bad, only painted the barrels on the pompoms and quad vickers and the oerlikons got the spent cartridge bag as well. First ship and could be the last... everything is so damned small. Andy- andy55

Decided to try a proper ship after doing the Schnellboots. At the moment just trying to build it up ready to prime. Seems that the deck in front of the wave defector (?) should be steel but Trumpeter have got it timbered. Apparently the dazzle camo extended to the deck so will leave as is. Want...- andy55
