Tamiya 1/35 Churchill Mk VII Tank

I think you'll be pleased with the Gaahleri, I have the ghad39, and use it for everything from primer to top coat and fine camo lines. Assuming it's the same or similar internals as mine two things to watch for: 1. The brass at the front where the nozzle seats needs to be scrupulously clean or...

    Tamiya Sd.kfz.131 Marder II

OK so I'm old and daft, but I call it motivation.

    Tamiya Sd.kfz.131 Marder II

Decided after falling out with the Dragon 252 would go back to Tamiya for my next build. Looked on Scalemate and according to them the tamiya marder is from 1971, with only box art updates. ??? Nice kit, rubber tracks, oh the joy of heating a screw driver and 5 seconds later 'completed tracks'...

    SdKfz 251/9

Well finished the half track, sort of. Got so far and decided I'd had enough, Jakko, has already covered the problems of this model on his build, so I won't bother. Decided the kindest thing to do was put it out of its misery, so came up with this. It's the Dragon kit. Building the tracks was...

    What are these...

Building a Dragon sdkfz251, with ez tracks. Is this something to do with the track building as I can't find any reference to them on the instructions. Anyone got any ideas. PS the tracks don't seem to fit...

    1/35 Tiger

Ryefield 5100 Mid production Tiger. At last got it finished, taken about 5 weeks. Found the parts fit to be pretty good though would do things a little different if attempting a similar model. Got an MB tank crew which I managed to squeeze in to give it scale. Decided to paint them black to make...

My spray booth - As it seems to have vanished I will put it here.

Mk2, since SWMBO was at the other side of the room when I was spraying would say it works. So Scratchbuilder I raise a glass for starting this thread and posting that video. Cheers.

My spray booth - As it seems to have vanished I will put it here.

I hope you don't mind Scratchbuilder if I post this. Without your original post about the bucket would not of tried this. So spent the afternoon in the garage after going to B&M and B&Q and built a booth. Only tried it with water as I'm waiting for the foam to arrive. Seems to work. Not the most...

    Halfords Primer

Well the weather has permitted me to get in the garage today to try the Halfords. Also decanted some (that was messy) as will brush paint smaller parts. Don't think it's done too bad a job for first time. Will need to get some thinners before using in the AB as white spirit was struggling to...

    Halfords Primer

Just trying to get a couple of hours in before the kids and grandkids arrive. Have tried acrylic primer and didn't like it. So going to get some Halfords as seems a lot use it. However, is it the enamel primer or cellulose. If cellulose does acrylic paint take OK on it. Happy Christmas to...

    Trumpeter HMS Kent

Well this is as far as it goes, tried doing the railings but don't have enough control of left arm. At least I didn't find out if it could fly...

    Italian torpedo plane wwll

Thank you everyone for looking out all the above. It's an idea that until I get on the computer and start playing with the background I don't know if it will work or not. The only reference book I have was given me by a German friend Peter Becker, he flew Phantoms and retired a lieutenant...

    Italian torpedo plane wwll

It's a long shot, but I'm after an Italian torpedo plane of wwll vintage. I'm wanting a photo at a particular angle. Of course the www never has the right pic. It's for a diorama background I'm thinking of. Hopefully Andy

    Painting small parts

Thanks for that. Managed to find a fine brush, don't think they've turned out too bad, only painted the barrels on the pompoms and quad vickers and the oerlikons got the spent cartridge bag as well. First ship and could be the last... everything is so damned small. Andy

    Painting small parts

Got to the stage of wanting to paint some detail on the armament. But how do you paint the magazine on something this small. I know carefully. Any suggestions.

    Trumpeter HMS Kent

Well my early Xmas pressie arrived today, armourment for the Kent. Brilliant 3d printing from Micro Master. OK the older modellers will probably already be aware of them, but anyone returning like me, well have a look at their site. Micromaster.co.nz the below pic is of their pompoms with with...

    Trumpeter HMS Kent

Decided to try a proper ship after doing the Schnellboots. At the moment just trying to build it up ready to prime. Seems that the deck in front of the wave defector (?) should be steel but Trumpeter have got it timbered. Apparently the dazzle camo extended to the deck so will leave as is. Want...
