    I have tweaked a few things and added the final bits now. I have applied some gentle weathering, and marks that seemed like they belonged on an operational aircraft. Here is the final result.

    Moving on... basically everything has been assembled and painted. After a gloss coat I have stuck on the decals, and then applied a matt coat. So here is where I am at the moment, now on to the weathering. Thanks for following along. Garry

    I have been applying the decals to the underside of the Dora, and it has turned out pretty good. Thankfully the decals from Hasagawa are very strong and I managed to not break any. I am however relieved that this little section is done though. .:)

    I have made a start on painting the fuselage and wings. Here the underside has been painted red, and awaits the white stripe decals which should be fun.

    I have started the build in the cockpit. The fit of parts is pretty good, and no trouble was encountered. The engine bay is pretty well detailed, even though it will all be covered over with the body work. The well detailed pilot is assembled and will have a lick of paint before closing him...

    Thanks to Mr Bowcat for putting together this GB, Here is my offering in all its dirty glory. The car is depicted as having just completed the 1978 Monte Carlo Rally, with the attendant dirt and grime that it picked up from the snow and road muck on the last stage. I was not overly impressed...

    The battery placement has been bothering me, even though that is where the instructions indicate it should go, but placed on top of the transmission was just not right to me. However when I was doing the decals there was a lightning bolt decal to go at the corner on the drivers side of bonnet...
