LMS Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 4871 Passes through Ford station this morning….

Finally had free time enough to get into assembling the tracks and these Magic tracks are a doddle. lay them out, glue, let it set up a bit and get them on. This run is in three sections to make breaking down for painting easier. The front sprocket has the offset mount so can be adjusted...- Si Benson

Right up to the last few bits now. The Aber barrel and muzzle break went on as did the pistol ports complete with plugs on chains a travel lock and other bits and bobs….. Just a tool box, tow cable cables and of course the tracks to make. I’ll scan through the destruction one last time to...- Si Benson

I agree on the custard but it seems the Mrs fancied a bowl of custard on its own for lunch so I got the leftovers :sad: Managed a bit more time at the bench adding all the bits to the casement such as hatches and handles. Tiny weeny update as I had to work till lunch time. Broke out the included photoetch and added the mud deflectors (?) and a mesh grill over the rear intake. The kit comes with a choice of metal D shackles or plastic…..metal it was. Then the cover goes in place to hid the majority of etch...- Si Benson

Brush and airbrush cleaner
