Hiya mate, glad you like how it’s progressing. You know, I did look at the springs and under-gubbins for tweaking, but talked myself out of it! Think I’ll avoid etch and engines on my next build! Late night update. Removed the moulded on deflectors from the roof and replaced with the etch...- Si Benson

Great to have you looking in gents, hope I can make a reasonable job of this :thinking: With the T34 now ready for paint I can now move forward with the 223 build. Started snipping parts off the sprues and having a bit of a clean up.... Cut out the moulded on deck screen ready to accept...- Si Benson

Thanks very much gents :smiling4: The T34 has slowly been chugging onward , slowed by the need to remove and re-do the ice cleats and straps. So there is the front fenders to fit and a few bits here and there. But really not far from paint :smiling4: thanks for looking in :thumb2:- Si Benson

Another small update. Nearly there with the guts of this now and it looks like it fits ok, thankfully :smiling4:. And how it will look with the lid on. I’ll have to trim off the exhaust ends for the rear plate to fit. The paint is still drying in places but once dried I’ll get it...- Si Benson

Evening to anyone still awake, Tiny update on the engine, added the high pressure fuel lines with copper wire then painted green, which will be weathered in later... Still have air filters and exhausts to jam into the boot space, which I’ve been painting up individually. Not quite ready to...- Si Benson

Evening all, Work has continued.....slowly!! The etch set included ice cleats, 11 pieces of etch per cleat and 15 cleats to make :thinking: Even with the magnifying lamp....I could barely see what I was doing! But ended up getting them done and gave them a coat of Mr primer and a base coat...- Si Benson

I like the squadron green/white but as you say it seems to set in the tube way before it should...And you end up chucking it out!! :tired: To combat this I squeezed what was left in the tube into an old Tamiya paint pot and topped off with Tamiya lacquer thinner. A‘noon gents, Not much bench time over the week and what time I did have was spent re-doing the PE on the tranny and trying to figure out how to scratch build the lip on the rear that the access hatch would bolt onto. Cut out a couple of large rings from plastic card to give a washer shape...- Si Benson
