Hi Everyone. A few weeks ago I asked you if I should have a go at a resin kit for the first time. Well it arrived today direct from Wespe. A bit of work needed to turn it into the look I want. For a bonus point can you guess which iconic WWII movie featured this vehicle in it? Happy...

Exhausts were above the tracks roughly just in front of the armoured casement, blowing straight down on the tracks from the sponsons, therefore they can not be seen from the side.

    What's on the Bench? 2021

..... and here is post number two. Took a little longer as the Milliput had to dry out first The Milliput was wrapped around 3mm styrene rod and a fine blade was used to create the woodgrain. Then acrylics and oils were added. Lastly nylon thread was used for the rope. This has been an...

    What's on the Bench? 2021

Hi Everyone. What do you do when you are bored and fed up with doing tracks and armour? You build a fence post! :smiling5: :smiling5: It was done in a day using 5mm styrene square rod, 3mm wire for the barbed wire and 2mm wire for the ivy stalks/roots. Then painted using acrylics and oils. A...

Should I be worried about doing a resin kit??

Hi Everyone I have always been wary of doing a full blown resin kit for the obvious toxic dust issues and also when ever I have done resin after market parts I find them to be brittle and break easily. I also hear stories of bad moulds and bubbles. Are my fears correct or unfounded as I have...

    1/72 HMS Victory Cross Section

The Blue Monkey pub became a den of iniquity over the years and was a hotspot for local drug dealers and users. It was in a lovely part of town with the local church behind. We went to several Harvest Festivals and Carol singing events in the church back in 90's. The pub closed in 2000 and was...

    What's on the Bench? 2021

In the world of PE there are two things I hate doing. One is clamps the other is hinges It took one hour to do these two using 0.5mm styrene rod and 0.5mm pewter rivets. Fortunately there are only two more too do. Life would have been easier if I had chosen to have the hatches closed :smiling3...
