    1/32 Me262A-1a/U4 (JV44 Hunters and Protectors Project)

First set of pipes glued in place and painted. Makes it 'pop' a little more i think. Three more pipes to go and then i have two filters and a few braided electrical cables to paint silver and that is the front section completed bar a few little areas to touch up with the aluminium paint. Then...

Linkage (partially) fitted as i've just broken off a control rod from it. Will glue that back on tomorrow night. Fitted a couple of pipes and made a new t-valve for the bottom pipe. Will paint these ones up now and then add the others on top afterwards. Not too much left for this front section...

    Cadmium colour

Does anyone know if there is an acrylic paint out there that does a Cadmium (yellowish) colour? I am thinking of the colour that you normally find cadmium coated parts.I can't seem to find any.

Turbine control linkage made. Much swearing involved. Especially as most of it 'pinged' across the room at various points or superglued itself to the tweezers

Just got two more push/pull rods, one lever and three wires to add then i'll start adding the main pipes back on. It's been a real struggle to get these last few bits on. And i have damaged the paintwork in places. But luckily it's Vallejo Metal Color so it'll hairy stick back on with no...

Cheers guys. Wing rockets to the rescue again. I 'needed' to make a raised electrical plug for the exhaust temp sensor on the rear part of the engine. Glued a couple of sliced rocket bits in place and will sand down to the required depth when dry. Would never normally thought about all these...

Going to be left totally bare apart from the front fairing. So something a bit like this...

Sorry for all these photos. But i am rather happy with it all so far. Just a little dry test fit before i paint and then glue other pipes in place. Also it's a good reference for when i come to put this jigsaw all back together :)

Productive day (by my standards). Got the fuel ring pipe fitted and even got some retaining brackets made for it. These were flattened 0.4mm lead wire and then molded around the pipe. Two lots of T-valves made and associated pipework glued to them. Hard work and much swearing involved. Now just...

    Wild Camping / Bushcrafting

Out for a couple of coffees in my usual place and to start making a few little 'improvements' there. This includes a couple of wind breaks and fire heat reflectors. But whilst up there for the first time i noticed an abundance of moss that i used for making hedges/bushes like in my ongoing...

Whilst these next two pics don't look like much, i have to say this has taken me litterally hours to get right. It's supposed to depicting the fuel switch valve and the associated pipes that go to it (minus the fuel ring pipe which is still being made). The arrows point out all the various...

Finally figured out how to do my rollers on the combustion chambers. Tried to mold different things but none really worked. So as you're not really going to see that much when fitted. I decided to make it a basic representation. Just need to make another four now.

Just a slight 'attention to detail' bit that isn't really needed but here it is. I've added the exhaust temperature and pressure sensor probes. As you can see. Not much is visible when the exhaust guide is fitted. But they'll be there at least lol

    Silhouette Portrait 2 or 3 Plotter/Cutter

I am thinking of delving into the world of making my own masks for my builds. I have looked at the bigger Cameo but they cost quite a bit more and i'm not sure i'd need to create masks that big yet. Has anyone had any experiences with these bits of kit before and if so. Any advice?

I'm actually enjoying thinking outside of the box on this build. Obviously many details are missing from the Revell mold due to it not being seen afterwards (unless like me, you are opening it all up). So i've had to try and think how to make certain things like pumps and blanking plates. My...
