A little bit of drilling and a rat tail file tonight. Made holes for wiring, pipes and then the holes into the housing for the combustion chambers. A lot of tedious close quarter work. But hopefully it enhances it all when done.

Something a little like this is just the little details that i hope to help show it off a little more. I am hoping to expose one engine. So a little detailing won't go amiss. Also as i learn the extra little things along the way, i shall try to impart that knowledge to help others that follow...

    1/32 Me262A-1a/U4 (JV44 Hunters and Protectors Project)

Started to add various bits n bobs to the engine. I've noticed that Revell have duplicated each engine, which is fine but. On the port engine the aircraft hydraulic pump was located on this engine only. And Revell have modeled it without it (the bit that looks like it has a blanking plate)...

Got a little bench time today after work. Decided to crack open the PE (gawd help me). Drilled out the engine nose cone and inserted the PE Riedel starter pulley. Also drilled out the hole for the Riedel starter exhaust. One more to go. Not sure what can be seen when fitted but it's there now...

Don't want to be the bearer of bad new Barry but the staining of the 8 wing vents is wrong. Not exhaust fumes came out of the holes there. The staining goes either side of the openings

    Micro Milling/Router bits

I have been trying to mill/router some holes into some plastic for the last few days, trying various items such as micro drill bits and hypodermic needles. The drill bits are ok but very bendy and fragile. The needles do work but you have to be ultra careful with them. Question to the masses...

OK got a SD card reader now. So i can post a few pics. I was hoping to have more of it done this week but with the weather, the farm has been super busy. So here is roughly where i'm at with it. There are a few other bits slightly done but i'll take pics of them later. After looking at some...

    1/32 Me262A-1a/U4 (JV44 Hunters and Protectors Project)

Not too much happening at the moment. Just been sanding away detail so i can add the Eduard cockpit instrument PE. Painted some parts will dull aluminium so that i can add a chipping medium and create some chips when painted. Also scratch built a small cylinder for the forward bulkhead so i...

    AlanG's 1/35 Tamiya Sd.Kfz. 251 Ausf D (Half Track GB)

I'm calling this one finished. I've not added all the little bits that go in the stowage or even the anti-tank launcher on the side. This one is a stripped bare kind of build. I've made some mistakes along the way and done things in the wrong order, but hey ho. The decals have silvered which is...
