Matt coat added and then given a brush with a tan pastel to tone down the paint and make it look dusty. I think it worked :)- AlanG

Added a few tools and the main MG42. I'm not adding all the other tools and bits and bobs. I'm going to save them for another diorama. Think it's time for a matt coat and the last little bit of weathering. Then i'm going to call it done.- AlanG

At the going down of the sun
Went to the local Remembrance Day memorial service today. Always filled with pride when i go and this year had added pride as my son was taking part in his first parade with the Air Cadets. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning. We will remember them. -

So the tracks are painted as AHS explained in his video. The 'rust' colour isn't showing up as well in the artificial light but i know it's there. will let it dry overnight before giving it two coats of flat coat (AK Ultra Matte). Then it'll be onto adding the weathering I really need to crack...- AlanG

So i eventually got the Tamiya paints i needed but i haven't had time to do anything to the model as work has been hectic. A nice 21 days on shift. Looking back at Andy's Hobby Store tank track painting vid on YT, i took note of the paint ratios he mentions and have made up the required dosage...- AlanG

Wild Camping / Bushcrafting
After finding that my old green cheap tarp had been used as a nest for a family of mice so was full of holes, i made this rather nice purchase. DD Hammocks 3x3m Multicam tarp. Planning a few more overnight camps with this. Rather chuffed :smiling3:- AlanG

Ok so i couldn't wait until tomorrow. SWMBO was watching last night's Emmerdale so rather than rocking in the corner asking about rabbits. I thought i'd get a light coat of Dunkelgelb on. I'll give it another coat in the morning.- AlanG

Whilst i'm awaiting the postie to deliver my paints and pigments for my half-track GB, i decided to grab this out of the stash. It's a quick build but the kit is really showing it's age. There has been a bit of flash to clean up and the details are far from crisp. But it's not a bad little...- AlanG

What type of cheap brushes?
I am now starting to get into using pigments on armour and also making dioramas. My question is what type/shape of really cheap brushes should i get? At the moment i've been using my normal brushes but i am reluctant to use them more as i don't want to ruin them.- AlanG
