Changing Paint consistency
Does/Can paint consistency change mid use? Been painting the cremeweiss on the interior as show (Mig Ammo paint + vallejo thinner + vallejo flow improver, no idea what ratio), and for the majority, the paint was perfect. A really nice consistency, then suddenly the adherence to the primer became... -

After a couple of months of zero interest in modelling, it’s creeping back! And the Toons are doing the trick...Inspiration and guidance from @Pete Low and tutorials from @Steve Jones have got me going again. Oh and a new modelling cave! Bit of a production line on the go. -

Sorry...MIA for a couple of days. Been fighting off a migraine which affect vision in my left eye. Have managed a bit here and there before I go cross eyed, and think I have something that looks passable. A tarp WIP to cover the area that might catch the wrong attention.- Jack L

Thanks Allen. Tracks glued at all contact points with Road wheels, idlers and sprockets using TET. Painted post glueing. The tracks were a but of a pain and pretty fragile, hence I did it this way and built them off the tank for ease of painting.- Jack L

Yeah it’s a model, and I think you are right, I just didn’t pay enough attention. It wasn’t particularly clear from the instructions, but I think most German tracks are aligned like this: And I didn’t think it would be any other way. Completely my fault.- Jack L

Unfortunately made another balls up of this one. Applied the tracks as per this reference: To find out the outer edge (of the tracks) should be flush with the outer edge of the drive wheel, not the inner edge, as per this reference: Means now the side skirts will not fit, nor are the...- Jack L

Have tried various positions...if the photo’s will show... To fit on the upper edge, as I believe it should...There is a monumental gap on the side armour. Short...not just needing a clamp or two. To bring it forward to sit in front: The side armour fits flush: But...massive overbite at...- Jack L

Sorry for the delay in progress, but the second smaller wagon is now complete and it’s load well under way. I still don’t know what to put on the 6 Axle...I have a Sturmtiger, but think that would be better suited elsewhere.- Jack L

Thanks again all. Your praise is very generous. I don’t think any modifications will be needed...it will be a very static model, so no need to amend anything to fit a certain track gauge. Will just need to disguise the two slight variations. I think the smaller wagon must have been Sabre’s...- Jack L

Only just. Any pressure and they slip inside I think that is just the camera angle...This might be a better view: The two on their respective tracks: Smaller wagon on bigger wagon’s tracks: See when it is lined up on the left, the right side wheels only just has a purchase. It shouldn’t...- Jack L
