    A sticky problem

I see from your posts that most of you seem to paint and then add bits, (e.g. undercarriage doors). How do you get the little sods to stick? I've tried most adhesives (liquid poly, plasweld, Gators, superglue thick and thin) with little success. Do I need to take those tiny areas down to...

I will be building a Polikarpov I16 Rata (Rat) from Leningrad, 1941/42. This was the principal fighter aircraft of the Red Airforce in the first 18 months or so of the Great Patriotic War, having first flown in 1934 and was used in the Spanish Civil War. Although outclassed by the main...

    Ta 152 completed (mostly)

I offer one completed group build model. As a beginner, I have learnt many lessons with this, the main ones being:- Use cheaper kits until you get better at it! Make haste slowly. Manage modelling time better. The following are the main firsts for me: Airbrushing Modern kits and...

    Pacific Coast Ta 152

As some of you will remember, I have been wrestling with this one for the group build for some time. I'm now in the finishing stages, so I attach a few pictures of the paint job and progress so far. I hope to complete by the end of the month. It hasn't been easy. I chose a particularly...

Gentlemen - I'm struggling here. Any help would be appreciated. The cockpit (mostly completed), wheel wells, nose, exhaust stubs, propellor boss and sundry tiny bits are made from polyurethane. Each PU moulding has a big lump of PU attached to the back, however small the actual component. The...

Ta 152 - Pacific Coast models - PJP

Just to join in the group build threads, as the title implies, I'm attempting a Pacific Coast model of a Ta 152. I have already posted some poor sprue shots but I'll take the whole set and post them on the great day. Here's hoping I survive Senior Management for the duration of the build...

    Paint colour help please.

I will be trying Lifecolor paints for the Group Build, following John's review. They don't seem to have an RLM 55 or an RLM 23. Any ideas for accurate alternatives please? Lifecolour preferred for consistency but if not a recommendation for an alternative? Ta Peter

    Ta 152

Inow have a model for the Group Build. I have a Ta 152 by Pacific Coast of whom I had not heard until I saw the kit. Kit made by Sword, decals by Cartograf, PE set by Eduard. As a novice at this level, I'll only build what I get in the kit. I have posted pictures below. First impressions...

    Pictures

Could some-one point me at the bit of the forum which explains in idiot proof terms, how to post pictures please? I am expecting to have to post pictures of a kit shortly. "Don't make it idiot proof. They'll just make a better idiot!"
