    Takom's T-55 AMV

Camo done, added a filter, Tan for Tritonal camo seemed a good choice. The eagle eyed among you might notice that I've broken the aerial, which was bound to happen. Another gloss coat and I can start the weathering. cheers Ross

Michael, yes that's always the way isn't it :smiling5:. Steve, great one for sympathy you are mate :anguished: Scottie, cheers mate. Well it's all finished, time to start painting. I'm not mounting the machine gun, I'll paint it off then add at the end. cheers Ross

Jim, yes very busy, I think the turret is worse though. Turret almost completed. This beast has already drawn blood, a slip of the knife into the thumb and a few drops onto the turret. cheers Ross

    Takom's T-55 AMV

Paul, cheers mate. JohnR, np mate you found it. Been working on the sides, they sure do get their moneys worth, everything but the kitchen sink goes on the sides. The downside of making a Russian vehicle is they don't use the blocks on the side guards, so I've had to fill in lots of holes...

    Takom's T-55 AMV

Progressing nicely. Things are very crowded on the front glacis plate and Takom have done their usual trick of getting you to drill holes where nothing seems to go, so I'll have to sort them. The unditching log was supposed to be darker but I liked the lighter colour, it probably could of...

    Takom's T-55 AMV

Well one of the bonuses of living where it can be hot, the wheels have dried enough for a photo. cheers Ross

    Takom's T-55 AMV

Steve, I think that is what it is. Well I jumped forward and made the screens in Step 17, I didn't like how much they revealed of the inner workings (as there was nothing to show), so I put and scrap of evergreen over the space and painted it as I did for the other screens. Whether it's wrong...

    Takom's T-55 AMV

Okay guys I need some expert help here. I've put the upper hull together and there is something puzzling me and I'm hoping somebody can help. Here's what I've done. Now this is the step I was on. The piece that has me stumped is TP32, as you can see it doesn't quite fit and its optional...

    Takom's T-55 AMV

Well I find myself in a situation I haven't been in for awhile, one kit on the weathering bench, another on the painting bench and nothing on the bench :smiling5:. Already I've tripled my output from last year, going through the stash I finally decided I would build the following. I'm going...

    Dragon M7 Priest

Jim, thanks mate, yes happier now. Making progress. Not many decals, not even a star and looking at the photos I see the F is not lined up, the joys of making up the markings yourself. For the steel tools and the gun slide, I used AK Steel pigments on a cotton bud, I think it gives a...

    Dragon M7 Priest

Si, cheers mate. Michael, thanks mate. Paul, trust somebody to notice :anguished:, yes they are glued, I was finishing them up late at night, went to sleep thinking I had done something wrong, tossed and turned for about an hour then it struck me. Rick, Peter and Paul, almost a band, thanks...

    Dragon M7 Priest

Jim, I'm the same, if I can glue it before painting I will. Steve, it certainly slows things down a bit, it did start to cool off but we've had a week of over 35 again, two weeks into Autumn it should be starting to cool off, North Queensland keeps getting battered by Cyclones and flooded and...

    Dragon M7 Priest

Evening from a hot New South Wales John, I tend to try and glue as much as I can before painting, sometimes I remove paint, sometimes I will mask where other bits are supposed to go. Only if I can't paint it on the vehicle do I paint on the sprue or separate, like the fire extinguishes in the...

    Dragon M7 Priest

Jakko, I decided to mount the floor in the body. Spent the weekend painting various bits and pieces, had to redo the ammo racks as I messed them up. All the bits. Sections. In between building the rest and painting I can start weathering up these pieces now. cheers Ross
