Ross,
Looking good fella as wouter has said these are a blank canvas when it comes to weathering.

Sorry should have realised you already started this Ross.
Looks good to me.
John .

Paul, cheers mate.
JohnR, np mate you found it.

Been working on the sides, they sure do get their moneys worth, everything but the kitchen sink goes on the sides.

The downside of making a Russian vehicle is they don't use the blocks on the side guards, so I've had to fill in lots of holes, I'll have to give it a hit with some primer and see how good I've done tomorrow.

cheers
Ross

Stunning detailing on the fenders Ross. Those areas are ripe for chipping:smiling5:. However I am sure you will be more reserved with your weathering than me:thumb2::smiling3:

Keep up the great work mate

Thread owner
Steve, thanks mate.

Side skirts painted and on the model.

Started work on the turret.

Hmm either one is upside down or 3 are, will have to check that.

Hi Ross
That is a very busy hull you have there. Looking good.
Jim

Thread owner
Jim, yes very busy, I think the turret is worse though.

Turret almost completed.

This beast has already drawn blood, a slip of the knife into the thumb and a few drops onto the turret.

cheers
Ross

Stop worrying about the blood, you still have plenty left - that is the usual reply I get.....
Seeing the great work you have done I am alsmost tempted to get my '72 out..
Cheers, Mike

Nice work on the turret. Nice to see you havn't bled to death so you can now get the build finished :smiling5:

Thread owner
Michael, yes that's always the way isn't it :smiling5:.
Steve, great one for sympathy you are mate :anguished:
Scottie, cheers mate.

Well it's all finished, time to start painting.

I'm not mounting the machine gun, I'll paint it off then add at the end.

Camo done, added a filter, Tan for Tritonal camo seemed a good choice. The eagle eyed among you might notice that I've broken the aerial, which was bound to happen.

Another gloss coat and I can start the weathering.

Morning Ross,
That sure is a bristling turret. Reminds me of the Zvezda T-90 kit....that I never finished weathering:thinking:

Painting looks funky at the mo....I’m sure this will tone down with the weathering steps:thumb2:

The tank does look busy with all the blocks etc. The camo looks good, makes a change from plain green Russian armour. Nice work Ross. :thumb2:

Hi Ross
Seemed to have missed a bit - we have paint. Love that turret. Looking really good so a bit of blood is a small price to pay. Simon T usual adds a bit of the red stuff to his builds and they turn out well :rolling:
Jim

Wonderful work on the camo. Very effective indeed. I am sure you will sort out the aerial with no probs

Thread owner
Si, I hope so mate.

Thanks Ralph.

Cheers Graeme, it was fun to paint.

Jim, not really I just went straight through priming and preshading straight to paint.

Steve, I should know better, always leave aerials until everything is finished.

cheers
Ross

Ross,
Great job on the paint.
Note to self - speed up....
Cheers, Mike.
