    Revell Packard

The chassis here is painted with Tamiya TS 90 Brown and the patch is Tamiya X 9 Brown. Clearly dissimilar... Does anyone know which Tamiya pot paint matches the spray...? I need it for some small touch-ups...

Glued the front suspension units in - a very precarious fit...! All other parts are just resting in place. Started to paint the wheels...

Dry brushed silver onto the grille over the black. Think I'll leave it like that. Also tried to make the starting crank look like it's chrome plated with a wooden hand grip...

    Revell Packard

The carriage section has the final 'brown' sprayed on and the bonnet has the third coat of very thin 'yellow' brushed on. Attempt one of making the radiator look realistic has, so far, the 'gold' sprayed on and some black brushed into the grille - I now need to work out how to highlight the grid...

    Revell Packard

More of the major sub-assemblies resting loosely in place. The fit of the suspension units is precarious - very little gluing surface... The gold colour called for in the instructions is Tamiya rattle can - not sure how I am going to finish the radiator grille...

    Tamiya acrylics

I have begun using Tamiya acrylics for the first time - can they be thinned with water? They seem a little keen to go off, clogging up on the brush quite quickly. I have thinned Humbrol acrylics with tap water and had no problems. Same for Tamiya...?

    Happy Shopper

Well happy with my first order from Scale Model Shop...! Ordered three Tamiya spray cans and two paint pots on Tuesday and they turned up today, despite my awkward instructions to DPD to 'leave it in the cupboard next to the door'..

    Best brushes for liquid cement

As the title says, what brushes are best to use instead of the one built into the bottle? I find the brush too large and using a decent paint brush which goes hard seems a waste...

    North Sea Fishing Trawler

Afternoon, Just picked up the Revell 1/142 North Sea Fishing Trawler from Kits 4 All in Croydon - my LMS. Any idea if or where any detailing parts are available for this? Particularly looking for replacements for the railings and some better crew figures. Cheers, John.
