"The surrender ( if looks could kill!)"

Cheers Peter...you can’t beat a “wallop!” Thanks Scottie...there’s been a few attempts Anyway, the heads done and hopefully I’ve managed a youthful and anxious expression as he’s supposed to be surrendering....the last pic is super zoomed so hopefully the flaws don’t show to the naked eye...

"The surrender ( if looks could kill!)"

Sorry John... I may have spoken too soon... I’ve decided to add this German POW as part of the setting for the jeep so I,m feeling inclined to crack on with this rather than the bust...maybe? He,s supposed to be in the process of surrendering so I have made a start on his slightly worried...

Something completely different....at least for me!!!

Hi all... I wouldn’t want anyone to look at this too closely.... I’ve used more filler and tape than I did when I last decorated the kitchen,,,the windows turned out a complete mess but I’m sticking with it for now Thanks Jason

Something completely different....at least for me!!!

Hi all, Having annoyingly hit the wall on my road to Moscow bust ( it’s virtually finished I just can’t seem to get motivated to finish it off!!!) I thought I’d have a crack ar something completely different! I picked this up at a model fair as it was cheap and frankly I now know why! I’m...

    The road to Moscow...1/10 bust

Hi all A small bit of progress made on this after the nightmare of the bullet belt! I have darkened around the eyes slightly which I think addresses the over emphasis on the whites? And got the blanket done for the back of the figure! Thanks Jason

    The road to Moscow...1/10 bust

Hi all I just thought I’d post a few progress shots to show I haven’t given up on this one.... There’s quite a noticeable mould line down the back of the arm holding the mg34 so I will need to address that but otherwise progress seems to be ok! Thanks Jason

    Winston...finished at last!!!

Despite a badly misjudged attempt to matt down the suit with some Matt varnish ( which resulted in doing the pin stripes again!) I managed to have a good day at Halifax today...also good to see a few models and modellers that I’ve come across on this site and the other site that won’t be...

    The road to Moscow...1/10 bust

Hi all Just a few progress shots...I tightened up the definition on the greatcoat and a few other bits...I’m not happy with the kit supplied strap for the MG34 so I have a suitable piece of leather in the spares box ...so I’m toying with the idea of using that instead??? Thanks for looking...

    The road to Moscow...1/10 bust

Hi all, I did some work on the greatcoat which I still have more to do on...I tried a different technique of painting the dark shades then dry brushing the lighter ones whereas I would normally do a base colour and then add light and dark shades...it was a lot quicker but I think I might revert...

    The road to Moscow...1/10 bust

Hi all Thanks Peter, Monica and John! I’ve spent quite a lot of time trying to get the helmet whitewash how I wanted it which meant a bit of painting over my hard work...I think I’m now at the stage where this is just going to have to do! Thanks for looking in Jason

    The road to Moscow...1/10 bust

Thanks all....as the consensus seems to be “remain!!!”...it’s going to stay with a bit of chipping here and there...also cracked on with the admittedly much easier other side!!!

    The road to Moscow...1/10 bust

Many thanks Monica! So heres my attempt at one side of the helmet decals...it’s going to be weathered and white washed so it doesn’t need to be spot on...having said that and to misquote Joe Strummer...should it stay or should it go??? Many thanks Jason

    The road to Moscow...1/10 bust
