That looks lovely, I had a go on my mates ( much older Fat Boy ) years ago, Outrageous bars on his one , not much ground clearance round tight bends and No One sleeps when he drives by ;)

1/24 Mk2 transit breakdown and knackered nissan skyline 2000

Looks good! - I am planning something similar one day, I have the same kit ( but not the resin kit ....yet! ) In a previous existence many decades ago I used to drive this for a living! It was obviously heavily customised with sliding doors and huge screen. Whats the plan for the rear wheels...

Ark Models - 1/500 HMS Royal Oak

Managed to squeeze the deck into the hull, which was very awkward and will need filling as it really would not fit properly...... I also bought some PE railings which are proving challenging and will need pushing into shape. Definitely not in my comfort zone with such small parts, but enjoying...

USS Franklin (CV13) 'The ship that wouldn't sink'. March 1945

Will be watching with interest as I bought, (sort of by mistake on Ebay when trying to buy something else and spotted this odd one with motor going cheap! ) an Aircraft Carrier which looks like it should keep me busy when I finish the HMS Royal Oak .......... Have fun !

Ark Models - 1/500 HMS Royal Oak

No further movement yet on the model , but this is the real thing in Malta before the war and Uncle Bill - I hope he would have approved

Nearing completion, getting nervous about the last putting the thing together now!

Ark Models - 1/500 HMS Royal Oak

And so it starts! taking advice 'on board' ........ These parts are very small, reading about the 15 inch guns (that all four pairs can fit easily into one hand), were in fact 770 tons each pair! Enjoying it so far.

    Bird Watching a Relaxing Hobby

Watching the swallows coming in for a drink at the house we are looking after in France for the summer! Just a phone picture but will try for a good one with the camera one day !

Ark Models - 1/500 HMS Royal Oak

Here I go with my first ever ship build! This is a very old kit which seems to have been sold in various forms in Russia and Czech Republic also Frog ? Any way the reason for the build is to attempt to make it as Royal Oak, very similar to the Sovereign (Revenge Class), As some will know, she...

    Heller 1/8 BMW R100RT

I'm calling this done ........ The fairing drove me mad! It just wouldn't fit together nicely however I tried :anguished: So I went with the unfaired version and that will have to do - Pretty horrible old kit to be honest, will stick to Tamiya from now on ;)

    Heller 1/8 BMW R100RT

Finally got round to getting this old kit, which I put away as I was fed up with the bodywork and my several attempts at painting.... also looks like the fairing parts won't fit together very well.

Painting surfaces already the right color?

I think you will find most, myself included will always paint all parts. However if the bodywork is in perfect condition out of the box and you are happy with the colour, I guess your idea will look fine, especially if it is this one that I also have to build one day - plenty of decals too !

    Can we identify this one?

I have a personal interest in HMS Royal Oak ( my great uncle was killed when she was torpedoed in 1939 ) I have tracked this photo down from 1925 with HMS Victory in the background in Portsmouth. Just wondering what the aircraft is !

    Dangerous Caterpillars

We encountered the Pine Processionary Caterpillars in France when living there. They are heading north! Look out for the nests - they come down the tree in a long line looking for a soft area to move into, mole hills are a favourite, they stay there for up to 2 years I think before becoming...

What flew over your house (yesterday)

That BSA does have a 'heavy' look in the photos, not seen one in the flesh. I think if I was in the market for something similar it's hard to beat the Enfield 650 Interceptor I test rode last year. Really surprised me !

    Bird Watching a Relaxing Hobby

Not this week , but from same time of year a few years ago - when looking after a 'little house in the country' we had to feed and keep an eye on two Trumpeter Swans ( Henry and Anne ! ) and their signet, which we had the pleasure of watching taking to the air for the first time!
