Kaleido paint review using airbrush
Recently bought a Gaalhier airbrush with a fan cap, to be used on hulls. Very good too! Saw a lot of info about there range of acrylic paints called Kaleido. Apparently they are pre thinned, Non toxic, dont smell but spray like laquers. Hard finish and quick to dry. So thought I would give them...- BattleshipBob

Evening the pva will sit between the plastic deck and the adhesive on the wood deck. Seen a good few ship builders using it to stop the deck from rising. So I'll give it a whirl!- BattleshipBob

Right tad more progress, added some random stained planks. Hopefully you can see them? Biggest problem is getting the drying time right, not enough time and you take it all off or too long and it stays there! Some of the deck has slightly lifted, so with the last wood deck to go on the...- BattleshipBob

Hi Jack I ordered bottle holders from them months ago, nothing. Must have sent them over 15 emails, nothing. Got a refund from PayPal. Not sure if they have gone bust but they took my money.- BattleshipBob

What I have done is to paint a separate plank either with the brown shadow or another with the bluey coloured darkener Also then mixed together, but of course randomly Let it dry then using a brush remove using ( yes) remover. I have been almost dry brushing but next I'll load the brush more- BattleshipBob

The satin varnish seems to have done a good job of bringing out various shades of brown planks Did make a start at the stern but overdid the bluey shadow. Must have left it dry too long so the remover didn't remove much. One to watch out for. However the instructions, bugger all.- BattleshipBob

Think I might know where the problems lie? The stuff doesn't look like dust or hairs but look like tiny straight lengths of possibly fibres? I use the green paper sheets you some times get in paper towel dispensers. Or general serviettes to wipe brushes in. What is best to use??- BattleshipBob
