I just sold one of those, it was an Iwata HP-SB. Yes they are bottom feed unless the larger gravity cup is used. Gravity Cup For the OP, another good choice is one of the Mr Hobby/Procon Boy airbrushes. Many parts are interchangeable with Iwata, check out their Platinum PS-289 with a 0.3 needle- LeytonO

A compressor I do have one with a tank, but recently sold my tankless Smart Jet Pro, no issues with pulsing and kept my original Sprint jet as a back up. They said the way it was broken meant it was a prime candidate for repair. The wearing out factor was explained and bone on bone is always the preferable choice. Repair went well, but my wife was only just getting back to full strength after chemo and surgery. -

What do you do with waste sprue?
Recycle bin, no idea if they do anything with it though. -
Vent: I made a model plane that was really crap
I had one recently that was a real POS, overly soft plastic that become a molten blob when shown any cement. Every locating hole needed drilling out or at least the ones that were in the right place did. Life is too short for all that mucking about so into the Grey wheelie bin it went. -

Its a good effort, but not quite minimalistic enough for me. Those bottles/jars on the right need a proper home and a paper roll holder would be handy too. Like the taped down paper, my wife uses lining paper for her desk when she is linocut printing. -

I retired a couple of months shy of 55, intended to leave at 58, but an early leaver package tempted me. Been twelve years now and no regrets whatsoever, don't know how I ever found time to go to work. -

I did cut the paper with a knife, still not impressed with the design though. My usual paint is Vallejo Model Air which I thin with a mix of flow improver, thinner and retarder. Covers well enough and can spray for ages without any tip drying. Only bought the Aqua because it was a good match for...- LeytonO

Pesky dust and blowing it away
Had a few more thoughts on the dust problem, might be valid, but probably not. To blow away dust I wonder if the compressed air in a can type duster used for keyboards would work? Tack Cloths are good for dust removal and between sessions model kept in a container. One of my wife's sealable plastic cake boxes is the latest choice. I reckon an airbrush with a decent psi could work, plenty of cheapo ones on Amazon. Don't recommend them for paint though, tried one just out...- LeytonO
