The bombs are not as tedious to pull together as I thought largely because they fit really well so the seam clean up went painlessly. The first stage next is to paint them with a sand yellow primer. The bomb bay comes together really well. Parts nicely click into place though they have rather thick sprue gates to clean up, but then that’s just what you can expect with such large parts. I am making slow but sure progress. Nose wheel well and undercarriage are done and fixed to the ‘pit. The fit is good but tolerances are tight. The metal u/c leg has a comforting weight to it and I will need a lot of weight to get this firm on its tricycle undercarriage. A problem for a...- BarryW

Complete. Trumpeter 1/32 P38 Lightning.
A nice kit, a few issues but they are not too bad. A surprise were the decal quality, supplied by Eagle Productions they are far better than anything produced by any other Trumpy kit I have found. That said most markings are painted with 1 Man Army Masks.- BarryW

It’s exactly what it needs Jim. The good thing about Flory washes is how they can be cleaned off completely with a wet cloth. I have not used a wet cloth but a dry one to give a dusty patina over the surface. In places where the wash pooled and a mark is left after wiping with a dry cloth...- BarryW

Help with Cements and other oddities...
I have used the Neo and I am not impressed with that as a masking fluid There are better out there. I also have the full range of oil brushers. They are just an easy mess free way of using oil paint for weathering. One use for these is ‘oil dotting’ in which you dot your painted surface...- BarryW
