Brian's Caldercraft 1/72 HMS Victory
Brian When I made masts and spars I just chucked the dowel into an electric drill and held the end with sandpaper as it spun. This takes a little while but it is very effective. You need to wear some gloves to hold the sandpaper as it tends to get a bit warm. John- wotan

At last the final piece has been clicked in place, at least I have a few bits left over but I am assuming that is intended. You certainly have to be extremely careful with checking as you go. So this is what you get after about 4 hours. Nice colored pistons and quite tricky to get the timing in the right order. Onward and upward. You can see the electric motor and battery box in the background. Everything is a bit floppy at this stage. John- wotan

Always enjoyed lego models, but I found this using what looks like mostly lego parts but from another manufacturer. V8 twin turbo WITH transmission and all powered by a battery driven motor. This looks like it should be fun. Delivered from Amazon in 1 day! John- wotan

3rd and final part. About 6 hours to build and, despite a few fiddly bits, a real pleasure. The lights work with a touch sensor under the little symbol at the front of the platform. And by the use of mirrors etc the whole scene has an infinite depth. Definitely looking to build another...- wotan
