    Progress for the day, going to be another hot one. This glue is the best glue very thin but grabs like ca say's good for plastic too.

    Continuing with the first planking you can see temp ribs for the hull shape on the main deck, fitted with small drops of ca these will break off after the planks have set (hopefully with no damage).

    Hi Jim unknown mate King Charles I insisted on gold decorations on black timber Royal Navy specifications combined pitch, sulfur, and rosin to achieve this finish. The white hull was anti foul paint.

    Yes the largest warship of it's time 102 guns, she had 118 gun port but could only mount 102 making her most powerfully armed warship in the world at that time

    Ok guys I value your input so here goes do I leave the bronze/brass pieces as is, or I have some nice gold leaf form a previous project ? But.......there are over 600 pieces :) According to my book King Charles I insisted the carvings were all gilded

    not sure how old my kit is but all the metal pieces are solid bronze, (had to file some burrs off) whereas I have seen online white metal pieces in the newer kits. is this correct? Not that i'm moaning the solid brass is better quality than the white metal.

    More bulkhead planks, using stain and not paint hoping for a better finish :)
