Getting close to completing the build now.... All the bodywork is now on. Couple of really small edges that I will add some filler to, then it will get another top coat. Tracks are now on. Added a little bit of track slack.... Added all the bodywork accessories, lights, lifting / towing...

    Peters US GB Entry #2 - M113 ACAV - Tamiya - 1:35

And more photos.... Pretty much finished the interior now, I have attached the rear door, but left it free to move for now, as I'm not sure if I'll have the door open or closed at this stage? Rear benches now in, I decided to go with red/brown for the cushions, just so theres a bit of contrast...

    Peters US GB Entry #2 - M113 ACAV - Tamiya - 1:35

More photos... First coat of olive drab on the figures... Have now also put the wheels on, seemed to go on ok, nice and straight. This model has the rubber tracks, but I don't mind them now as I've done a few and they seems to go on ok (Famous last words, Lol!)

    Stashes and insurance.

Good point..... our flood claim was about £10k for all the contents and then the building work to make good all the damp walls, floors, etc, was about another £10k maybe £15k, so £20k-£25k+ and that was 10+ years ago, so would be more now.

    Stashes and insurance.

When we made our claim (see above) we did not need to provide any receipts etc, when the insurers assessor came, she just immediately looked up what the item would cost via her phone online and awarded us whatever the new cost. I think nowadays as long as you can roughly gauge the cost, even if...

    Stashes and insurance.

I think some home insurance has limits on some single items. Next time you renew ask the insurer how much to add special items, eg: your scale model gear/kits, I doubt that it would add much to the overall policy? TBH the one and only time I had to claim for home insurance stuff, we had a flood...

    Vietnam Diorama - 1:35 - US troops/vehicles, etc

Ok, so I'm calling this one done! Couple of final pics here, but I will post the main pics on a completed Dio thread. Have also done a short YouTube vid and will post a link to that too. I really enjoyed this build, my first attempt at a "jungle" type scene. It's certainly not perfect, but I am...

Andrew's 88mm Flak 37 (The Hunters and the Hunted)

Hi looks great, can I ask why you have done your base like that?, eg: what looks like hardboard, then foam, then hardboard again, so a sort of sandwich structure?

    Vietnam Diorama - 1:35 - US troops/vehicles, etc

Lol, I wish.... I'm living on my pension mate. Luckily I don't have too many expensive habits, don't drink, don't do dr*gs, happy with the wife so don't womanise, so I live within my means....I like my hobbies though, so happy to spend what disposable income I have on a few tools, materials...
