    The National Memorial Arboretum, Staffordshire

Tim and Peter. Definitely worth a visit. Entry is free although parking is charged - we booked parking online and paid £5 instead of £8. Loads of very friendly, knowledgeable volunteers. Also an excellent cafe 😁

    Papa695s Hasegawa 1/72 F-111 Aardvark

Looks a nice kit. There does seem a lot of plastic. Cockpit looks good and has fitted in nicely. Aardvark seems rather an inappropriate name for a fighter/bomber.

    DaveCov's Pyro 1/16 Harley-Davidson Electra-Glide (M-157-125)

Well done getting those tyres on. Must have been a bit of a panic. Those paint markers are useful.

    The National Memorial Arboretum, Staffordshire

Probably the two things which were the most thought provoking and emotive were firstly the exhibition relating to the WW2 Far East POWs - a truly horrendous, dark part of history. Secondly the memorial "Shot at Dawn" commemorating those shot for desertion, cowardice etc in the First World War...

    The National Memorial Arboretum, Staffordshire

The missus and I have just come back from a few days break. One of the days was spent at the National Memorial Arboretum. One of the most poignant, moving experiences of my life. There is just so much to see. Just a few photos which people may find of interest. More to follow.

    6th June 1944 - D-day

A few interesting programmes to remember that incredible day, and the days following. A few years ago I saw a programme called "D-Day in numbers". Simple mind blowing.
