Thanks for all your kind comments. I was getting frustrated with it, because I'd thought it would be a reasonably easy build with my shaky hands, but it wasn't! Very few of the parts have any positive location so they just need to be glued in the right place, which I suppose is proper...- stillp

In my rallying days I was often surprised at the state of some people's cars - sills stuffed with newspaper and skimmed with filler was not unusual. One nearly killed me once; I was navigating for a chap with a Corsair with what he described as a Stage 3 engine. He claimed to have fitted a strut...- stillp

Eduard Lavochkin la7 1/48 completed
I finished painting a 1/72 Eduard La-7 a few years ago, and left it in the garage for an hour a yard or so away from a fan heater on its lowest setting - the undercarriage legs warped. It looked as if it'd had a very hard landing! I wonder if Eduard were using a very low melting point plastic...- stillp

What to do with completed models?
I always included in the description a statement that I would pack carefully but can't be responsible for damage during shipping. I never had a complaint although did get some feedback that minor damage had occurred (aerials, pitots, and similar). Pete -

I've never made much money, but if got the price of the kit back plus a little towards paint etc Ebay isn't too much hassle, and if you've posted a 'Finished' thread you already have the photos. The main problem with packing is stopping the model moving around inside the box. Pete -
