Latest Acquisitions (2026)
Another product that has arrived for a trial on the diorama ..... To be honest ..... I did not think I would ever buy products like these as there are so many videos on the internet on how to make your own with many readily available materials ..... However .... here I am throwing money away... -

Beautiful work. I'm in awe with the sharpness and detailing of the paintwork. I've still to attempt a proper vehicle paint job yet and it makes me feel unworthy before I even try. Very inspiring to where I would eventually like to be. Thanks for sharing Toto- toto

Well, I appear to have a blank canvas for next weekend. No major domestic duties, no mumsie duties ( yet ) and no other interuprions that I am aware of. Got a couple of new victims on their way. A ww2 British open back and open cab truck from Gecko. A ww2 British ambulance truck from Gecko. A Studebaker ww2 fuel truck from ICM Anybody any experience with any of these or able to offer advise on Gecko or IBM kits in general. They... -

Never made the shed again tonight. So ..... it'll be next weekend now. More walls. I'll see how far I get in finishing off the two brick walls before moving on to the stone wall beside the Cafe. I will need to cast more brick wall sections as I did use a few this weekend and one or two...- toto

So ....... We are on to the Daler board element of the build ..... Daler board, steel rule and a sharp scalpel .... fast forward and the two sides of the first wall section have been cut and glued in place. The end will be left for now until I decide what I am doing with the gates / piers...- toto

I may get a little time in the shed today before being on mumxie duties. So .... it will be Daler Board.... and ...... looking to see how I can take out the corner of the wall without completely destroying the whole wall. That corner is mighty close to the explosion zone and would never have...- toto

And ..... at the risk of boring you ...... and I am trying my hardest ..... we go on .... I have moved the building back a tad to give clearance all round .... rightly or wrongly .... still have enough space at the back to detail out ..... and the sides still have a bit of room as well...- toto

We are progressing along .... The next part to be cut to an exact length .... A little bit of skullduggery to be done where the wall meets the pier. not forgetting the Blue Foam of course .... and the other end .... a bit fragile and " at risk " being so close to the edge ...- toto

So .... fed and watered ..... and on we go ...... The magic mix of Plaster, PVA and some white acrylic paint ...... don't know why ..... I just do it and it seems to work for me. and the first victim .... and on it goes ..... and off it comes again .... and the inside of the wall...- toto

Getting there ..... A couple of bricks broke off the specials but they will be covered so rather than waste the cast ..... soldier on ..... and another for now ..... I have a section to add between the main wall and the gate post so the additional section will be cut flush to give a good...- toto

Something like this maybe ..... I appreciate the sections are not tied in tight yet but it's just a dry run. I could actually tie this in with the end of the wall where it will meet but wonder if its worth the effort and faff. As long as I ensure a nice tight fit ..... nobody would be any...- toto

And ...... so we continue ..... brick walls it shall be ..... not too concerned with the slight gaps in mortar courses as this area will be cut away to create the damaged corner where hopefully some sandbags and fire power will be situated ..... and the other side ...... second time around...- toto

Absolutely Scottie. you could increase production and cut down the whole process but you are governed by the curing time in order to release the mould and cast another. I have eight brick wall panels and can't go any faster otherwise you start to try and release the cast to early and break the...- toto
