Nuther noob air brush question....
If you have a full, proper air brush spray painy booth, with proper extraction, out of a nearby window, do you still need to wear a face mask? As presumably most of the particles are being pulled away from you... Only really asking as almost all the YT vids I see, the person in the vid is never... -

Yep, good advice, I've seen that mentioned in a few of the vids that I've watched, theres a lot to learn, Lol! :) -

I've seen the back flushing being used on a couple of vids now, I think as its only done with the air flow on, so in theory that stops any paint going any further back than the bowl? I do think its a more "advanced" technique anyway, so prolly will not be trying it for now.... :) -

I'm actually thinking about an old vintage Matchbox kit I have, in 1:72 of a German Ju87 Stuka, cost me nowt in an auction lot a while back, and as I'm about to dip my toe in the AB World, I might use that as my first Guinea Pig /victim to try out the AB..... we'll see.... (y);) -

I'm all set up, but not going to use it today, been watching several "How to" vids on air brushing for beginners, eg: me! Seems like I should start with a lowish pressure, around 15 to 20? and I should also start with thinned paint, either mix separately then pour in the AB bowl, or if adding... -

As above mate, don't use it, its just not worth the risk when using any type of HPA (High Pressure Air) device. Can I ask how long you have had the compressor? as I've just bought the same one myself....[Gulp!] -

Nuther stupid begionner question, I assume you realease the pressure once finished using the compressor, and don't just leave it pressurised? And another, I've read that some compressors. hoses, air brushes, etc can have o rings that are affected by thinner, so do I need to be careful? I have... -

No mate....I did look at Badger for both AB and a compressor. Just decided to get the one I did as it was a good deal.... (y) -

I do have my own "Acme" spray booth, eg: booth made from cardboard, lined with lining paper, which is easily changed, and an extractor fan with foam inserts to catch most of the atomised particles. It must work as the foam need changing on a regular basis just using my rattle can primer, etc... -

Yeah, I did look at those when I ordered the quick release connector set, but decided against it.
