    Choice of airbrush cleaner

Each to their own Leyton. Stripping an airbrush down does become necessary every now and again and parts do need to be replaced. One of my Badgers is a 100XF that I have owned since 1973 and has constantly given me good service. In all that time I have only had to replace nozzles and needles...

    Choice of airbrush cleaner

I use a couple of old Badgers that have Teflon seals, so quite robust when it comes to using thinning and cleaning products. Used all sorts through them Tamiya, Humbrol, Water, Airbrush cleaner, Cellulose thinners, White spirit and IPA (the chemical not the beer!). Before I put my airbrushes...

Joe's 1/22 Artesania Latina San Francisco Cable Car

Thanks for the feedback Joe. It was when I tried to drag and drop the image from pictures on my PC over to the attach files area in the post that instead of loading it as expected where you can see the little percentage bar filling under the thumbnail picture, all it did was fill the screen with...

    Thinking of getting an airbrush??

I have come to this a bit late, but if you are still looking, go on to Barnwell the Badger distributor in the UK. They run airbrushing courses and sell off ex class used airbrushes at very reasonable cost that they will have checked out before selling on.

    I think I've become a collector

We all lose our Mojo from time to time. Maybe. Just maybe Miko if you just open a kit and actually make a start instead of thinking about it too much ? Who knows?

    Shuttleworth Model Show

Agreed it appears a bit expensive for the equivalent of a local model show, but does include access to view the Shuttleworth Collection Museum included in the fee. The car parking was free last year. The only two other model shows that are pricey are IPMS SMW at Telford ( if you are not a...

    New 2026 Italeri range....

An SSK in 1/12th scale. I will be looking forward to that one being released. Maybe Paul might get a 1/24th scale one some time in the future from Italeri. It would be really nice if Tamiya did some of the older classics but cannot see it ever happening. Not absolutely sure but I think that...

Chris' 1/22 Artesania Latina San Francisco Cable Car build

Hi Chris. Did you finish your model? Thread seems to have petered out a few years back. I was following both your thread and Joe's. Your build looked to be well advanced. Over the last year or so I built this kit and did a number of additions and extra detailing along the way. I gave up on the...

    Picture loading difficulty.

Ian If you look at the thread San Francisco Cable car I added a post after a number of years that I had completed a similar model. A reply to it asked if I had any pictures. If you search that subject you will see why. Hope this answers your question. Thanks for the image posting help in your...

Italeri 1/24 Bugatti Royale - finished................

Really nice model build Dave. I think that Italeri did two versions of the Roysle, one of which I think Testors also marketed in the USA. There was anofher Royale kit by Lindberg of the Weinberger car in 1/24 th scale from way back in the 60's. It has been reissued since by Revell. All make up...

    Trolleybus kits, advice sought.

Picking up on an old thread here. Have you tried contacting the Model Bus Federation ? Probably best source for trolley bus info.

    Picture loading difficulty.

In replying to a thread I tried to attach a picture to it. I lifted a picture from my pc pictures files to where I should be able to attach it to the post. I was expecting to see it loading when I clicked it in the attach here point. Instead of that whfen I clicked it my screen just filled...

Joe's 1/22 Artesania Latina San Francisco Cable Car

Tried to attach a picture with my post. When I selected one from pictures on my PC my screen filled with the picture I selected, but looking to see if it had attached to the post was that nothing had happened. It looks as though pictures can be loaded directly but it just was not happening ...

Joe's 1/22 Artesania Latina San Francisco Cable Car

Responding to this thread a number of years on. I have just completed this particular kit having tracked one down in the UK about two years back. Did one hell of a load of modifications to it (like fitting actual sliding doors for example) and also a number of my own scratch built additions...

    Hello from Bugatti Fan

Not used the site for a while, but see it has gone to subscription only since I last used it apart from this introduction thread. Before committing, I would like to know if you can load pictures directly onto this forum or do I have to use a hosting site? I have seen pictures 'watermarked' by...
