Well, with the size of me, and the age of most of our punters, I would probably send some of them to hospital LOL…. Must admit it’s gone really quickly. I do tend to think of these things as three days, three weeks, and three months. Three days is purgatory as the operation pain comes out...- Tim Marlow

Last post on this because I was passed fully fit on Monday. That means seven weeks after my hip replacement surgery I am classed as completely healed and able to go back to normal life, carrying moderate weights and moving the hip joint in any way that is natural. Water retention. The loss was because you were not keeping hydrated while lolling about. The gain was because you were while doing those activities. They have done for years John. Personally I think one of the only redeeming features of Wimbledon coverage is John McEnroe commentating. He combines excellent knowledge and humour.- Tim Marlow

Enjoy a good footy match myself. The bad ones I just turn off. Don’t get Wimbledon at all though. Why does it completely overwhelm the BBC schedule? Must be on for twenty hours a day…..followed by a highlight programme. Irredeemable tedium to me I’m afraid.- Tim Marlow

Now that is a great film. Very highly regarded by the Titanic survivors themselves apparently and based on the Walter Lord book that is a definitive resource of the event. The 1997 film is a visual treat though.- Tim Marlow
