How could you not love the really bad second head on Zaphox! And of course, the babelfish which was then used as the name of one of the earliest online translators.

Well, pardon me, Sir, but that is an impressive rack you have there! If I may be so bold! Of course, when it comes to the next build, it will probably take a long while looking and a few select -> put back -> select iterations too. Good luck on the choosing.

    ???

I'm sure I had something pithy to say, but I've forgotten what now. It was probably mildly amusing! and I accidentally posted a blank message so now I'm editing it to not look like quite such a noob mistake 🤪

    Newby (well, almost)

Hello and welcome, much has changed indeed - no more raised panel lines, CA, canopy glue, different paints for brushes, and airbrushing, more types of adhesive than you can shake a stick at, different sanding types and grit levels. And we all have a dodgy kit or three hidden away somewhere! I...

    Andy's '57 Chevy Bel Air

Those big old V8S used to go on forever. I knew some folks in Boston when I lived there, who had big old beaten-up Chevys and Fords for 'winter cars' - they had 3rd party insurance and didn't care if they got pranged. The body work was easy to replace, and the whole car would collapse before the...

Model clubs, what exactly do you do?

Ah, no Facebook, ditched that years ago. I've thought the same as you guys. I model for my own enjoyment, although I think there is one about a 20-minute drive, so it is not that far away. Maybe I should check out a local show and see if they are there too. I know there is a game cafe opened up...

    1/48 ESCI Henschel hs 129

Excellent build of an unusual aircraft. The crew must have been well shaken with that beast.

However, all went swimmingly and cracked on adding the office to the fuselage. As ever, lovely little kit the Tamiya and goes together very neatly. The wings are not glued yet, just to get the look

Neils Tamiya 1/72 Republic P47D Thunderbolt ‘Razorback'

I was going to put this in flight, and I have a pilot who fits in, but turns out the undercarriage doesn't have an up option and it looks like it will not work. Still to be confirmed, but I added the seatbelt decals last - which is not ideal!

    Weather on your planet

On the plus side, the weather seems to be absolutely terrific for weeds! We're up on the edge of the Pennines, so it is usually 5C cooler here than the coast anyway, but the weeds thrive.

    Latest Acquisitions (2026)

My grandfather would have disowned me, but in my opinion, the B17 was so much better looking than a Lancaster. One for the GB?

I'm still tempted to buy the 1/48 P47 to go with the PE :sneaky:
