Glass is in, final assembly complete, COTR is in place. Still needs a jerry can or two (to be added later) and it needs a bit of weathering to hide the defects (numerous). Showstopper Diorama
This has always been an area of interest to me but just no way to scale it or compress it small enough to make it work. I do like the equipment from that particular segment of the conflict. -

Well, not much to report........got the lights in front and tail lights in the rear doors. Next up, is window glass and then I need to hang the rear doors. After that it will be a mild weather job and then the Fat lady sings!!- Mini Me

SURF'S UP!!!!....The long board has arrived, (scratched by yours truly) and Hans has decided to try it out! I got the dull coat on and we are moving towards getting the window glass in and the final details in place before weathering.....still waiting on the "fat" lady. ;)- Mini Me

Wheels on! The right front seemed a scale foot off the ground....Once the glue had set enough to put this little darlin' back on her feet, it was off with the right front and plug the axle hole (in the wheel) snip of the axle pin and relocate it! COTR toned down a little and in place, may add a jerry can or two later but 'sall for now. after the flat coat and some road dust things will look a little more homogenous.- Mini Me

Managed the decals, got some paint and a wash on the "luggage" even managed a little bleed through on the poor casualtie's head gear. Oh, I also did a little weathering to the roof rack boards and bats....came out ok, gonna have a bunch of stuff covering it so not much to see really. I...- Mini Me

Hi all, paint is now on and there is some touching up to do. I ended up masking off the interior as the sponge method wasn't cutting it, so it took longer than I expected......worth the wait though. after this dries good I'll hit it with some gloss and get the decals on. At last , the end is near.........just have to locate the front and rear axels and this baby is ready for paint. First step will be to shoot all the interior and then it will be the outside after much masking and who knows what to keep the top coat from interfering with what's on the inside...- Mini Me

Another First - 1/35 CH2 TES.
Sorry for the late response Doug, here's what the twisted wire method should look like when done. Depending on the gage of the strands and the number of strands used, will determine the final diameter of the cable, I used 7 strands to achieve this in 1-87 scale so yours may take a considerable...- Mini Me

Hi, sorry for the long pause, have been pulled away from the bench to tend to "outside" chores and other "distractions". Not much to report, just working on the railing for the roof rack. I have all the easy steps done, now it is a matter of bringing it all together at the back end. Crew bench is in and once the glue sets I'll carefully sand down the stubs of the legs that are poking through the bench top. The last piece to go in will be the stretcher rack on the bulkhead, in the stowed position, behind the bench. Still need to locate the front and rear axles and fill...- Mini Me

These just arrived....Audi is a candidate for a future staff car. Einheits Diesel was a bargain I couldn't say NO to and the motorcycles were also ridiculously cheap, so why not!
