Superglue question
I've tried a couple of the modelling branded types, and while I found they worked well, with my build rate I threw most of it away as it went hard..... For the last few years I've been using this: One comes with every set of Oxford Hot Grips and its really not what you want for gluing...- Nicko

Ordered this for my Grandson (7). Turned up just in time! He's got a few of the smaller Quick build kits under his belt now so this big one will be a good measure of how close he is to tackling one that needs gluing together. Nick -

Managed to get the upper surfaces painted. Went with Tamiya colours NATO Green and NATO Black as they were to hand. Pondering on a clear coat of some kind, but there are not too many decals to go on this one. Thanks for looking in.. Nick.- Nicko

Pushing things along a little bit, I had a try at thinning the fin braces for the bombs... Then I put the undercarriage assembly together and set it to dry resting roughly in place ready to be painted separately later... After that was sorted, I shot some primer on it... And got that...- Nicko

I have made some more modest progress. Got a little more work done in the cab before buttoning it up..... Managed to break one of the mirrors and bodged a repair with some fuse wire.... Glazed and masked the cab and now have the whole lot base-coated..... Next job will be to attempt...- Nicko

A little more progress on this one. The minimal photo-etch was tackled before painting could start.... Then it was on with some of the wet stuff. After a coat of Mr Surfacer 1500, the tyres got a bit of Tamiya Rubber Black and the main base colour was applied using MRP Light Stone, which...- Nicko

Thanks Guys. The mouldings look very nice as do the Quinta extras. Bear with me though. Bench time non existent this weekend as we have the Grandkids. Last weekend we visited out Daughter up North so it was ruled out then as well. Can't complain though, the weather is lovely for October...- Nicko

Spots on the Internet (2023)
On the Meng Facebook page, available December, a 1/9 BMW R1250GS ADV..... Length 253mm so it'll be quite an imposing model. I'll be interested to see how they've moulded the wheels with the spokes terminating on the outside edge of the rim. Nick
