Heat Proof Tape
To paint the picture...I'm currently working at a printers, still not found anything long term since my redundancy last October. Anyway...they make wrapping paper, coasters, custom t-shirts etc. A special tape is used to keep things in place while under the heat press. Had a small brain wave... -

I'm not managing prolonged spells at the bench lately...so the train build is on hold. However in the little spats here and there...my madness is continuing to flow. I've not managed much bench time lately...so today decided to go back to basics and build a toon tiger. An hour in, and I had a mid model chrisis...and found myself building a full scratch interior for it! Definitely lost the plot. Needed a break from the Monster Loco today, which takes up most of the bench, so in a small corner, had a go at a Verlinden 1/35 Red Devil I found very cheap on Ebay. WIP, but quite happy so far.- Jack L

This is certainly an endurance build! So construction is complete (apart from the smoke deflectors, which will be painted and weathered separately)…and painting pretty much there. Primed with Mr Surfacer 1000. First time I have used it and am very impressed: Pre-shade with MRP Nato Black: Then a mamoth session with the MRP Tank Grey. Progress is seeming slow at the moment, but lot’s of PE detail to add that is much better than the kit offering. I did think my PE and soldering was improving, and then this ladder came along…I‘m not particularly happy with it, but think it will pass with some paint. Not completely fantasy that...- Jack L
