MiG 17 Fresco..... 'Bloomin MiGs everywhere GB'

Great result Paul, in markings not often seen. A bit of an ask to fit 20 grams of ballast in the nose, but nice of Airfix to at least provide an oil drum.

    We found a classic.

A nice tribute in the making, very much in the style of Ron. That wall is looking great Colin.

Rick’s 1/72 Westland Wessex HC.2, No.2 Flying Training School, Royal Air Force Shawbury

Hey Rick, very nice result indeed, and great that you have a connection to the Wessex. That canopy blooming is annoying, but we've all had it happen. I explain it away as the model is represented on a cold morning, so it's condensation. I keep a basic build log like you do. Your hand writing...

    RIP Donald 😔

Thanks for pointing this out Geoff. Most of us at the age of 17 could not even have begun to imagine what this chap and others went through.

The paint work is wonderful Kaci, once again you've chosen a colour that really suits the shape of the Mitsubishi.

    Neil's 1-35 Liberty Ship Diorama

Lovely work Neil, the soldiers all look fantastic with their various poses and jobs. I seem to recall that cigarettes back then did not have the yellow coloured filter tips.

Chris' 1/144 MiG-21 Prototypes (Modified!) (Neil's Blooming MiGs Everywhere GB)

I said it in another of your threads Chris, but how you do this in such a small scale is amazing. Lots of attention to the peculiarities of each prototype (y)

    Forgotten Fergie

Superb work Tony. The base is going to look very convincing, and the framing is looking very neat.

    Chris' F-Toys 1/144 MiG-21 F conversion

I do not know how you do this scale Chris, my eyes hurt thinking about it

    Another Varnish and AB question?

I second what Tim said, Peter. Lucky Varnish doesn't need thinner dilution, but I always add some in. It's a great finishing varnish, but don't use it as a prep gloss for decals. It will likely react with decal solutions...

Looks very good Peter, the dry brushing has certainly added a desert sand look to the pink shade

Very nice Geoff, so glad you got the Sabre to this high standard after the fit problems.

Nick's Airfix 1/48 Spitfire MkXIV for Colin's 90th Anniversary of the Spit GB

Nick, a fantastic addition to the Spitfire GB. It may have taken a while, but it was well worth the wait to see this beauty.
