    Tell me about it joe ! It took ages - i’d glue the lower one on first then as soon as i put a drop of superglue on the aerial to do the upper one the lower one would come off .

Got this at a bargain price , its a rebox of the Occidental kit which itself was a revision of their earlier mk IX kit . Its had some scathing reviews questioning the accuracy etc but I’m not worried...

    The lavochkin is now standing on its own two feet ( wheels) and the exhaust staining has been applied . The staining has a particular pattern with stripes on the steel areas which I managed to achieve but arent very visible at the moment in this lighting. The La 5 and La7 both had prominent bare...
