Has anyone built this kit yet?
Good morning fellow modelers, Have any of you constructed this kit yet? It’s the Academy kit number 13540. I am considering purchasing this kit, but wanted to see if there were any difficulties with it or if you thought that the standard of detail was better than other brands.- Strenko J

Inspiration for my latest and completed diorama came from the first photograph. It shows the early invasion of the German army into Norway with a Panzer I tank along with the bicycle troops. I wanted to share some pics of a recent visit to a LST docked here on the River in Pittsburgh PA this past weekend. It’s one of three still operating around the globe and the only operational one here in the states. It was very interesting to walk aboard this vessel. I cant imagine what it was... -

Thanks Richard…the figures were actually painted with a moist brushing ( if there is such a technique????) …more so than a dry brushing, but you are right, there were still flaws in the blending that were noticeable and they looked dry brushed…so I went back and did more of a diluted...- Strenko J

I wasn’t totally pleased with the figure painting of the civilians and the blending/shading and highlighting on my first attempt so I went back and tried to soften the variations between colors.
