and we progress .... a little .... we put one of the end trusses up ..... get the picture .... but I get it wrong ..... ..... and it comes out again as the horizontal rafter should have went in before the truss and a spacer installed between the wall and the truss ..... like so...- toto

So ..... roof rafters ..... we need a sole plate first though ..... to go along here first ..... a bit like this ..... these sci fi monsters are back ..... roof trusses cut to length with birds beaks .... and they fit sort of ..... like this ..... you get what I mean ...- toto

Ok ..... so ..... no progress as yet today. Domestic duties of a culinery nature have taken over. 😂 i am on tonights tea duties and the promise of a chinese takeaway just wouldn't cut it. A bit more effort was demanded by the baying mob and with that in mind, homemade donner kebab's were voted...- toto

My 2.5mm thick balsa arrived today so we'll see if I can get away with it on the other building floors ...... maybe even roof trusses as well. Bring on Friday. Toto- toto

Loads of videos to " show you the way " 😂 on utube. I follow 1/35th scale diorame builds the guy is good on buildings and diorama detail using balsa and plaster moulds etc. I played around with it briefly before just practcing some of his methods but this is the first semi serious attempt...- toto

Austin Tilly van on the way ..... boxart when it arrives. Toto and it has arrived along with a few other bits and pieces ..... and some balsa for the diorama build .... this was a balsa bundle .... various sizes of stuff ..... very useful ..... at some point ..... 3mm balsa dowel... -

Thanks for that pjgtech. I will be revisiting the stone wall as I'm not happy with what I have so far. I have however sped on with some of the door and window framing ..... maybe not the best with clamps in the way but I'll remove them. The glue should have taken a grip by now. and...- toto

Ok ..... the structure was strong enough to start the floor boarding ..... so ..... here we go ... starting to look like a porkupine ..... er ..... I mean floor already .... and bit by bit it goes together .... getting closer to completion of the task in hand .... nearly there ...- toto

PVA tends to cause white patches on balsa .... apparently so the black should blend in better when the black wash is applied all over when ready.if there are any gaps, it helps there too. Cheers Toto- toto

OK ..... we move on with the first floor level floor. and another quick shot from a higher perspective .... Don't know if I will get on to laying the floor boards today as I would rather let if fully dry out before working on it any more. I have moved the structure to try and prevent it...- toto
