Karls 1/48 Eduard Hellcat (Late)
Things going a bit slow here due to life things but I have got an aircraft. A few fit issues due to my own impatience but nowt major. Need to get the optivisor on to get these ignition leads in place. All the undercarriage and wheel wells were painted the same colour as the underside, so...- KarlW

Zipped up, there are a grand total of two locating pins on the fuselage halves, the cockpit itself is the major location guide, with 4 pins and 4 locating guides to help, but it does line up pretty easily. IRIAF Tomcats
Been putting this step off for too long, probably because I've never done it before. Sorting out the seam lines on the canopy. Some lessons learnt, sand first, then polish, dremels melt plastic...... Almost there, just a final polish with the finishing grade of polish.- KarlW

Usually I use CA to glue them all together, avoiding the dial faces on the lowest layer, then come back and add glazing to the dials with Micro Kristal Klear. Nothing like a bit of PE in the morning to wake you up and get you ready for the day..... Derrick Errol Evans MBE will be proud, though I don't think this is the PE he means. Why do they get so deep into our hearts?
Just had to euthanise my cat Balé (Profile pic.). His kidneys were shutting down and I couldn't bear to see him suffer anymore as much as I wanted to put today off. I swear I don't get this upset when people pass. -

Feckity feckin feck......
I don't know how old the decals are but they came with a 2nd hand kit in the current box. I use tepid water, soak the decal then set on my mat. Agreed, usually too thick, these really looked good until wet then they just cracked, I'm wondering if the adhesive expanded under the carrier film...- KarlW
