    Update on Ron

Always sad to know a fellow diorama builder has passed. Gonna miss his native communication with his band of workers...were they Jamaicans or South Africans? Oh and his plane chucking as well. RIP Ron Wabble aka Richard

Hasegawa 1/32 Spitfire MkVI High Altitude fighter.

Okay, did page 2 so now all back to the original large images. Coincidentally there are other Spit builds currently for a running GB but I can't join as mine is not a new kit from scratch on day one of the GB but a pre covid build. Will see if I can continue building it. Cheers, Wabble

I see Chick Norris is dead

The running joke I just read is that President Xi says it's now safe to attack the US since Chuck Norris has passed away. Another is at the pearly gates Bruce asks Norris why so late. RIP Chuck Norris. Cheers, Wabble

    Steve's 1/32 Revell Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc

Hi Steve, I've just read the pages to this excellent build. I hope I'm not too late regarding the gap at the wing root which is quite obvious and apparent in many larger scales. Unless the manufacturer has provided a dehydral sprue support for the lower wing, I rarely follow the lower wing as a...

Hasegawa 1/32 Spitfire MkVI High Altitude fighter.

Hi Guys, I've just revisited this build and adjusted the images on page 1 to larger formats for better viewing. Will work on page 2 next and then see if I get the mojo to continue the build after reorganizing my references to the Malta paint scheme. Cheers, Wabble

    Tamiya 1/72 Junkers Ju87G-2 Stuka

Very nicely done Joe. Looking as deadly as it did in its prime and rather large for a 1/72 scale. Jim, you're not far off as in real life it was quite a large aircraft. Being heavy and singled engine it was a sitting duck in the air in dog fights. The added siren made it terrifying indeed...

Walrus Catapult restored larger images Build progress.

Hi Guys, this might be a double post and may be directed to the proper page. I just discovered that my new posts doesn't seem to appear in the new post page and am testing to see if this works. I have restored the first page of the Walrus 1/72 catapult dio images and will be doing the rest next...

    Modelmaker in Sweden

Hi Nina, I know what you mean. The latest fad that has come out are decals that are applied in reverse of the usual slide on technique. Instead of the film being at the bottom, it is on the top and after the decal is set you peel away the top film leaving the print behind. Haven't tried but...

Italeri Hudson Mk IV 1/72 scale.

Hi, again more updates and perhaps some priming done...actually not really. I needed the interior green showing on the inside of the canopy frames so in the three layer process that I usually do is to lay the first of whatever the interior of the cockpit is painted in. In this case it's interior...

    Richard's Dragon 1/72 He 219 A-0 UHU Night Fighter

Hi, Replacing the Balkenkreuz has been a success with the 6 year old masking proving that Tamiya masking tape keeps its properties and characteristics after several years taped to a surface. Cheers, Wabble

    Richard's Dragon 1/72 He 219 A-0 UHU Night Fighter

As I was saying the year before, this is getting off the ground. I decided to leave the missing IP as is...missing. Can't see anything much through the canopy so I'll leave it as if the panel lights have not been switched on. I worked on replacing the wrong Balkenkreuz on the wing top for the...

Italeri Hudson Mk IV 1/72 scale.

Hi, Clear parts are always treated with caution when fitted. Even after sanding the mating parts there still some gaps. I found that Magic Sculpt or shims of plastic strip covered large gaps. Masking tape protected the parts when sanding. Plastic putty is used only when tiny gaps show through...

Italeri Hudson Mk IV 1/72 scale.

Therapeutic sanding... tralalalala... Looks like a lot of detail needs repairing after the sanding process. Lots of gunk collecting in the crevices and what nots... That's all for now...the transparencies need attention next having not fitted flush and leaving horrendous gaps to be...
