I am open to all comments on my build. I have been on this for just under 3 months and progress has been slow. I will upload my progress to date. I have limited history of models and have never attempted to light one, let alone include weapons and sounds. so please enjoy and feel free to let me know what you think, and any suggestions you have. Colin

I masked off the phaser array and coated it. It was at this point I started to change my plan after seeing a moseley. on YouTube.  I decide I too wanted a working phaser array.....as will become apparent I have done some of this backwards.

Welcome to the forum Colin I can't give you much advice as I have a revell Voyager to light but LEDs would be the way to go I am currently in the process of lighting a ship I am doing with strip LED's they are a bit expensive but they can be cut into sections and are easy to wire up

To help.with colour saturation I coated the respective areas in metallic blue and red. later decided I didn't like it and coated it all in silver

And so began what I thought would be relatively easy, the windows. in my ignorance I had not realised there are literally thousands of tiny windows on this ship. and this is where I am currently at. I have now got about 40 windows left to remove. this was again a learning curve. I realise now I possibly should not have painted the kit until I had removed the windows. so nearly 3 months in........

And finally completed the inner lights and phaser for the saucer

@Gwyn thank you. Yeah it's been a bit of a head ache, like forgetting to put a resistor on the 9 internal lights and listening to them fry...... that's a lesson I won't forget again.....

Just a cool angle to see the spot light. I used a standard 3mm bulb
