Our club does 1/16 RC tanks and vehicles and we have various buildings-simple to put up and put away however, we supplement these simple structures by adding items of our own.

I have done a few and so have other members for our 'little village' so, to go with a basic building that is done as a workshop I have been raiding the parts and the spares drawers and have started on a open plan garage/work area that will compliment it.

The top (still in progress) and base are from an old dolls house, the poles are hardwood round lengths (same as I am using to make some telegraph/power line poles). The floor is old plastic tiles with a grille from a air-vent, the pipework is made from a poundshop fancy straw thingy I had saved-as you do-the petrol pump is bought but stripped, repainted and weathered. I made the air-pump from a plastic bed part and a plastic bolt, the gauge is made from a model ship porthole.
I then made a table and bench, weathered it and drilled holes for tools, hacked a plastic crate and added a plastic model basket from a 1/12 moped and that has become a storage box. Found an old engine and repainted it.

More to follow.

They look great Si.

Thank you Ian, hopefully will be getting the roof finished off today and some new piccies...but, don't hold your breath lol.

Hi Steve, yeah, the compliment add some diversity to the set up. Not able to meet up, our local council still enforces a no sailing etc policy for us at the moment-besides, I am in a shielded state so couldn't go anyway. Glad you like them, hopefully will be getting a bit more done today-have done a few parts but they need adding.

UPDATE.

Roof has been painted, detailed and a sand base added to the inside and painted and weathered.

Roof crane added from cut down parts from an old toy crane (these were left overs from when I made the gantry crane), other parts added from the scrap/parts box, also added a motor and plasticard electric box.

Sign made from plasticard with a wheel hub I found in a box and plasticard cutouts showing fuel pump and a spanner. The lights are made from old inhaler parts, RC boat lamps and 1/16 Tiger 1 suspension swing arms with some copper wire to show the cable.

Fire extinguisher was made from a proper toy extinguisher but turned upside down, drilled and a wheel added, painted in bronze and brass paint. The holder is a large picture frame hook that I opened up and filed out the top using the dremel.

Internal lights are some old buttons that had yellowed, I liked the yellowing as it looked like old glass, just masked around and painted silver.

I made the crane operating lever from a RC boat servo rod and a bent dressmakers pin.

Still more to do...
