Incidentally John, what did you get for your Focke Wulf? I'm sure I saw it on eBay\ said:View attachment 137276 View attachment 137275
View attachment 137274 I was in my local hobby craft today and there were hurricanes for the same price and as I already have both in the stash "waiting" for me(bit scary) And having recently completed the focke wulf which was a right pig to get together and having heard previous feedback I know these will be equally as bad if not worse. But having said all that I had a great feeling of satisfaction and reliefonce it was finished
Wow! It looked just like yours! But I'm glad it wasn't - your one was too good to sell\ said:Hi Patrick it wasn't mine it's still here it's on the "special" shelf until it gets a sideways push by the next completed kit.![]()
Here's the link,\ said:I have just completed the Airfix Hurricane with decent results. There is an excellent cutaway model that someone has completed of the Airfix Stuka on Britmodeller, it prompted me to check prices for the kit but they are too expensive.
Dave, I'm having a right pig of a time with my cars at the moment, working with gloss paint or trying to get a gloss finish using matt paints is a real pain in rear end, I'm at the point right now where I'm going to join you in armour, not like a knight, I mean like in armour modelling. I used to have a collection of Shermans and soft skins (all American stuff) and not one did I have problems with, they all went together well, any paint defects were quickly hidden with a bit of weathering, can't do that with cars unless I do barn finds (a Ferrari Enzo in a barn would be a very rare find!).\ said:I might pass, ive come to the end of my desire to do any more aircraft and want to concentrate my modelling on armour.
He he he the only dragon I've had a fight with is my ex wife!\ said:Awww, i was all excited then, thought we were going to play knights and Dragons for a minute... My dreams are crushed!![]()
Ive got a stack of F1 cars, and two helicopters, and a spitfire, but theyre being put in the cupboard as ive now got an M1 abrams, a T60, a vickers 6 ton, A churchill heavy, and a bradley, and im just starting the paint on the panzer.
I felt that id got to the stage where the aircraft models were being a chore, and caught myself rushing to get them out the way to start armour. So i gave up, and started armour!
