Hi guys,

I've just got hold of the Revell 1/24 Schlingmann 20/16 firetruck. From looking at the sprues I can see it's not possible to get a really accurate scale model from this - there's LOTS of bits and pieces which are just moulded onto the background instead of being done as separate mouldings - like the fire axes and many of the accessories such as an angle grinder for example (Good job that Trumpeter hasn't done one 'cos their kit would have an absolute minimum of a gazillion bits!). Despite this it looks like it's possible to end up with quite an impressive model.

Has anyone here done one or seen a build review? I've seen some pictures of the finished thing, including one where someone has gone to some time and trouble to fix up all the lights - including the emergency flashers!

If anyone's interested, it has an RRP of £50 and my local Modelzone has a few left that they're selling for £20. I wouldn't pay top dollar for this, but at £20 I couldn't resist it!
