Thanks Mike, if the plastic hadn't been warped on this it would be a nice kit. At least the Trumpeter one has a tub hull and is perfect .John,

Hi mate, no water is going to escape from this one !Just waiting for the chipping coat to dry, then its one with the 4 BO.Loving the base mate. Its gonna be an epic bog!
Thanks Paul.John,
Really like where this is going.
Yes that's the idea Jim, thank you, does get some what embarrassing that I struggle with most kits ! :disappointed:Hi John
Problem - a difficult kit giving you grief.
Solution - dig a big hole and bury it.
Masterful Sir, just masterful!! :tongue-out3:
Seriously though John I think despite the issues this will be a great model.
Jim

JohnToday did the final coat of brown Mig Primer, suitably thinned so it sprayed with out any problem. Once done and left to dry in the warm of the house I did a thick coat of Mig Chipping, did seem a little bubbly, poured some into a shot cup and left it to settle before spraying. Think I over did the thickness , but thew results were to my liking with the finish later.
Allowing it to dry with the help of a hair dryer I soon had a flat finish to lay the 4BO on. Then chipping followed.
To night the model has come into the house to fully dry in the warm, tomorrow a coat of gloss varnish to allow further weathering to follow.
Pleased with the warn finish, remember its abandoned and properly had a winter out in the open .
Comments welcome.
John.

Maybe a little Yorkshire tea???Thanks for looking in Lee, appreciated.
I put the gloss varnish coat on this morning, shook and then strained the varnish first, so no lumps. ! Now resting for a day until the weathering continues.:smiling3:
Yes we've had plenty of that today, :smiling2: I start with a black coffee, then its TEA through out the day.Maybe a little Yorkshire tea???
