I had forgotten I did not post photos of the completed USS Portsmouth. This is built mostly as it comes from the box with the addition of a 3D printed prop with the auxiliary annular vortex generator (the little prop in the center of the larger one) and slightly modified / improved devices atop the sail. I went back and forth with the paint job on the hull as I just couldn't get happy with it. In the end it turned out okay.

So, along with a model of the USS New Hampshire, the USS Hampton that was built somewhat at the same time as this one, I have models of all the either named after the state or have namesake cities in the state. As I have a chance, I am also going to build some models of subs that have a connection to the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as well.

Nice one Ernie.Do like submarines. My Grans father was an engineer who worked on U.Ks Submarines at Vickers armstrong. He ended up in U S.A doing work helping with systems on the subs.

Thank you. Your Grans father must have had a very interesting career working on both British and U.S. submarines.
