Not had too much cave time the last couple of weeks so this has taken a little longer than expected.

I've been surprised at how different building aircraft is compared to cars and weathering is totally new to me. I've tried to give the impression of a well weathered aircraft, as I imagine it would look in 44/45 as it flew around Germany. Couldn't find much reference but I'm sure the Russians had more to worry about than washing planes??

This being my first proper plane build I'd be grateful for your thoughts as I've got a couple more lined up for next year.

Anyway here is the finished article.

Very nicely done Jason , the weathering is spot on not over done and in proportion to size of the aircraft :)

That's a lovely looking build Jason, beautifully finished and wethered.

Great build Jason I see nothing wrong with it, the painting and weathering look spot on

Superb job jason , the weathering is excellent as is the rest of the build. and you know i just love a russian! cheers tony

If that's your first airplane Jason, I can't see you've got anything to worry about. You seem to have all the necessary skills!

That is one lovely looking aircraft, quality build and paint job. Superb workmanship. My my aircraft models turned out as good as that I would more than pleased, excellent.

Si:)

Like I said.. I'd never heard of it and read your build thread title as "air cobra".. .what a plank eh :-)

Anyway this is well smart and it shows you can transfer your skills from car to aircraft.

Thanks for the comments chaps, looking forward to the next one now.

Oh, and the tail sitting.... It only just sits on its wheels. The slightest touch and it's on its tail. Must get some lead shot for next time:)
