Lee, that came out GREAT! what an interesting concept to employ as an aircraft starter. As always, the wheels do make a difference.

Thanks Rick I knew those wheels would work making the difference can’t believe I done that rigging took some time but I got it done thanks for stopping by and the complement

That's the DB's Lee. Like it a alot. Great to see the outside photos. Well done sir :thumb2:

A quirky little contraption that's for sure. H&S would have a heart attack at that these days!

You've made a really great job of it though.

Lee , it's a wow build alright, and what a strange looking contraption makes it unusual from the start .
Like Steve says great out side shots, the colour look good esp the canvas roof.
Could have sworn I'd commented of this before .

Pete. Thanks for the pic! And for stopping by and the complement. Now that thing looks rickety

It does Lee, doesn't it. Looks as if it would spin itself round if the aircraft didn't start!
Shame I missed the business end. I'm sure I have a better phot somewhere.

Yes, - write-up by the museum is "The Hucks Starter was invented by Captain Bentfield Charles Hucks and introduced to RAF service just after the First World War. It enabled two men to start an engine from cold in 30 seconds and was far safer than the earlier method of swinging the propeller by hand. The signage is for the Grahame White Aviation Company, based at The London Aerodrome – now home to the RAF Museum London. "
