discussion 1/72 HobbyBoss - IL-2M3 "Sturmovik"

Hi Guys!!

Here is my IL-2M3 from HobbyBoss. It's an easy assembly-kit and no competition with Tamiya's new "Sturmovik" in 1:72 scale. But it's o.k., you get a good model with nice details.

I've replaced the plastic barrels of the underwing cannons with injection cannulas.

For the painting I used colors from Gunze and Revell.

Excellent build Stefan, I really admire how you can do such good work in a small scale.

You should try the Hobbyboss 1/32 scale version of this same aircraft which is a really excellent kit (my completed build here: http://www.scale-models.co.uk/threads/il2-m3-sturmovik.19173/ )

Lovely - nice and 'lived in'. I've got plans to start the Tamiya version soon, and if it comes out looking as good as this 'easy build', I'll be delighted. It all goes to show it's the skill of the builder that counts the most.
