Airfix 1/72 Hurri. I got it in the hope it was as good as the new tool 1/72 spit 9 but it was still the old kit :-(

I sanded and re-scribed about 4 times. The paint is HU 29 and HU 116 (not the HU 30 as per inst)

Tamiya clear acrylic with flatbase for clearcoat.

The decals are allot thinner than the Spit's decals.

Theuns it looks good iv'e got one to do so are there many fit issues ?

Ian, the fit was not to bad, the almost total lack of detail was for me till I put the canopy on and now understand why they didn't go to the trouble. I was not happy with the raised pannellines so I induced all this hassles on myself by sanding them down and tried to re-scribe. My selfmade scriber was not up to the task so in the end I did it with a new #11 exacto blade as I had more controll over it.

My plan is to do a Hurri and the new Airfix Spit 1a as the RAF side and get a ME 109E for my Airfix BF 110 to do a German side build. The 110 looks to be a very nice kit.

It looks good to me Theuns.

Hu 116 is a much better Dark Green than the Hu 30 which has a bit of a blueish look to it.

Cheers

Steve
