Well I guess I better make a start on this tomorrow then..............

.............. and I just realised I'm running this thread in the "chat" section, when .it should be in the "build" thingy:confused:. So do I carry on with it here or start a new thread in the build section??? If I do tat I'll get in trouble again for messing up the "stats" ....... Oh Gloom :(

dont worry mate , lifes to short, get it started .......................you know you want too.

Well I've made a start. Not much of a start........... Number 2 Son came over with grandchildren which, took up most of our day.

Anyway. This isn't much of a kit. So it isn't going to take long. There are two sprues for the Vanship and one for the Vespa and figures........ and for what it cost (Close to £25.00) ...... It is a bit of a disappointment.

I've got the cockpit parts and inner fuselage primed.............. and that's about it.

Hi Peter

This looks to be a nice, interesting project. The subject is not really 'my thing' but I've seen lots of great steam punk examples and they do make for terrific models. Looking forward to seeing the progress.

Cheers

I have a bit of a dilemma now ............. As the poll suggests. I'm undecided on this as to how I finish it ???? Both options are on the table and I really can't decide between the Authentic or a "What If" Luftwaffe version.

Help me out here..............

Personally, I'm not keen on the red Monica...I was thinking either the "Luftwaffe" version or "Aluminium & Gunmetal" ..... Apparently, in the series "Last Exile" there are three Vanships'. Red, Green & Silver.

Well I have the fuselage buttoned up and the underside on ....... I can't post any photos up as at the moment it's covered in elastic bands, bits of tape and clamps to hold it all together....... A couple of more photos tomorrow.

.........and I've settled on the paint scheme. I decided it'll have some of both. :)

Fuselage is buttoned up. and all the main body parts are ready for primer. As this is a simple kit, and considering the paint plan I wont be following the destruction for this bit........ Most of it will be painted before I assemble it. As I can quite easily mask up the surfaces that are being glued. I'll do that tomorrow along with masking the two cockpit openings, then in can have some primer. Once this bit is finished I'll sort the "Anti Gravity Drive", then the two can go together. Job Done.
